During the autumn of 2011 Nobina held several workshops on the theme of “public transport in the future”, with the participation of traffic managers, politicians, scientists and designers. Now, we would like to share our ideas and experience. The seminar offers an interesting insight into the future of travel, highlighting aspects such as innovative community planning, the design of new vehicles and how we interact with our customers in an open and dynamic market.
Inspiration
The day will begin with a summary of the ideas and experience gained from the workshops held in the cities of Karlstad, Örebro, Södertälje, Skövde and Lund. Ulo Maasing will interview Bo Enquist, Professor of SAMOT at Karlstad University.
Innovation
The day will continue with an inspiring insight into innovative community planning and new ideas on how to interact with customers in an open and dynamic market. The visiting speaker is Michael Snelling of Kent County Council, Great Britain.
Future
There will be presentations of two exciting concepts on the future of travel. NASA ’s SKYTRAN collaboration will be presented by Chief Executive Officer Jerry Sanders. The second presentation will be given by Serge van Themsche, Executive Vice President of Bombardier in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Brazil.
Dialogue
Each of the three sections will be followed by short Q&A sessions and panel discussions.
