Governance of sustainability efforts
Sustainability issues are conducted both as part of Nobina´s development process and its operating activities. Through the management process´s development work new questions are identified and converted into methods. Within the group council we capture deviations from requirements made on operations and take decisions on improving the performance.
By using an integrated approach to sustainability issues, we create the prerequisites to build economic, social and environmental values in the best possible way.
In Norway and Finland, Nobina has had ISO 9001 quality certification and ISO 14001 environmental certification for several years. In Denmark, all traffic areas have had ISO 14001 environmental certification since 2013. Since 2009, efforts have been underway in Sweden to obtain ISO certification for all traffic areas. At the end of the 2016/2017 financial year, nine out of 17 traffic areas in Sweden had obtained ISO certification.
Follow-up of sustainability work
The results of sustainability efforts are measured in a brand survey that was initiated in 2011. Nobina’s intention is to carry out the survey every three years. An overall assessment of passenger satisfaction, employee motivation and PTA satisfaction is arrived at by conducting in-depth interviews.
More information about the governance of Nobina’s sustainability work and the continual improvement efforts are found in Nobina’s Annual report 2016/17.
