Nobina wins renewed contract in Värmland – with continued focus on sustainable travel

Region Värmland has chosen to renew its collaboration with Nobina through a new contract that covers all regional and urban transport in Värmland. The new agreement will enter into force in December 2027 and will be valid until June 2029, with the possibility of a one-year extension.

The assignment includes about 200 buses, some of which are electric buses, which is in line with the investment in modern and sustainable public transport.

"It is very gratifying that Region Värmland, together with Nobina, has chosen to continue to develop public transport in Värmland and invest in sustainable public transport with the passenger in focus. We are proud of the continued trust and look forward to the collaboration," says Martin Pagrotsky, CEO of Nobina Sweden.

According to the latest Public Transport Barometer from 2024, Värmland is one of the counties where passengers are most satisfied with their public transport. As many as 78 percent of passengers stated that they were satisfied with their most recent journey.

The high level of customer satisfaction is a result of long-term work on innovation, flexibility and customer focus, something that Region Värmland and Nobina are now continuing to build on.

The agreement is a short-term agreement, which is motivated by the ongoing reconstruction of Karlstad Travel Centre and the establishment of a new bus depot.

The award decision can be appealed until 2025-10-10
