Nobina continues to expand in the Helsinki region – wins new contract for city traffic
Nobina has been awarded a new and expanded traffic contract by HSL, covering city bus services in the Helsinki metropolitan area. The assignment is divided into four contracts and includes a total of 69 scheduled buses, the majority of which consist of modern, fully electric vehicles.
The new agreements mean that Nobina continues to strengthen its presence in the growing Helsinki region and contributes to the development of future sustainable public transport in close cooperation with HSL. Traffic for three of the contracts will commence in August 2027, with a contract period of seven years and the option for a three-year extension. The fourth contract, comprising of six vehicles, has a contract period of two years with the option of a further two-year extension.
This new traffic represents continued progress in HSL’s efforts to promote climate‑smart and attractive mobility. The electric buses will contribute to a quieter urban environment, reduced emissions, and an improved travel experience for passengers.

The award decision may be appealed until 7 April 2026
